In The Know … The Rewards Program

[title style=”bold-center” text=”Membership has its rewards”]

You may have discovered a page on the menu titled “Rewards Program.” I want to take you on to a deeper dive into the program so you can make the most of your membership.

Once the Committee made the decision to move into paid memberships we also knew we had to take into consideration that some members might not be able or willing to pay for the Premium Membership. Thus, we created the Rewards Program that gives all members the opportunity to earn points that they may exchange in order to pay for membership!

There’s nothing you need to do to join the Rewards Program, you are already registered. In order to receive points, however, you’ll have to perform tasks.

Here are the actions and points as we have them set now.

1. Log in to the website = 1 point
2. Visit aka Read any post = 1 point
3. Like a post = 1 point
4. Comment on a post = 5 points
5. Review a book in the bookstore = 10 points
6. Long-form book review = 15 points

In order to get your Premium Membership, you’ll need to collect 1,000 points. It’s fairly easy and I am going to show you how.

When you visit, be certain to log in. There’s your first point. Go read one of the recent posts. Point two! Like that post for point three. Comment on that post. Now you have eight points!  I told you it was easy.

One word of caution, if you attempt to game the system, I’m tracking you. I can see if you log in then out then in again repeatedly or if you right something inane in a comment like “Hi!” … well I reserve the right to remove those points.

Since we all enjoy receiving reviews on our books, I’ve included a way to encourage you to leave reviews on the books in the bookstore to earn 10 points! If a fellow member leaves a review on one of your books, I encourage you to write a review on one of theirs. This way you’ve have each earned 10 points and have benefited each other with quality reviews.

Likewise, if you would like to write a long-form review, as found here: https://visionaryfictionalliance.com/book-reviews/,  you can earn 15 points as well. Long-form book reviews are meant to be 500 words plus with a much more thorough take on a book.

What is the Lifetime Membership all about?

Well, for those of us who really want to support the Visionary Fiction Alliance, they may want to become Lifetime Members. To become a Lifetime Member you pay one fee fee of $495.00 or 10,000 points and never have to pay again.  Premium Members can upgrade to Lifetime Member in the same way.

If you have comments or questions, add them below or visit the Member Support page.
